For parents, caregivers, mentors + educators

Mika opens a conversation. A real grown-up still carries the grown-up job.

Mika’s World is an educational and mentoring resource for children ages 8–12. It uses stories and simple tools to help kids notice feelings, think about what happened, make a small choice, and ask for help when they need it.

Who it is for

Primarily ages 8–12. Adults should decide whether a particular story or printable fits the individual child.

Who made it

Mika’s World is independently developed by Naeemah Huggins through Becoming Her Alliance.

What it is not

It is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis counseling, medical care, a reporting system, or a substitute for a trusted adult.

What children can do here

Read

Age-appropriate Mika stories about friendship, feelings, choices, and everyday life.

Choose

Use preset, low-data tools that do not require a child to type a private story into the site.

Take it offline

Download printable pages for use on paper or with a trusted adult. Private writing stays off the website.

No child account. No DMs. No comments. No journal uploads. No public posting. No “Ask Mika” AI. No child-facing checkout.

How to use Mika without turning her into homework

Ask, don’t interrogate

“What did you notice?” is usually more useful than requiring a child to explain what the story means about her own life.

Let Mika stay the example

A child can talk about what Mika did without disclosing something personal. Reflection does not require confession.

Point outward to people

When a situation needs more support, help the child involve a parent, caregiver, teacher, counselor, mentor, or other appropriate adult.

QR codes + the other BHA worlds

Future Mika journal QR codes can land directly in Mika’s World. The child-facing Mika pages will not promote older BHA worlds as the “next level.” Adults can view the full BHA world map separately.

Age labels are routing guidance, not a promise that a public website can verify a visitor’s age.

Mika’s World is built so its own resources stay child-appropriate without depending on an invasive identity or age-verification system.
